Wedding Planning Checklist
In planning your wedding, you will need to take care of numerous details. Assuming that you have already done your work in choosing the right person to marry, here is a rundown of the other major items that you will have to pay attention to:1. Budget: How much do you have to spend on your wedding? How will you allocate the amount given the various expense components? Will you hire a wedding planner?
2. Important Documents: Do you know what papers are needed to obtain a marriage license? What fees need to be paid? Do you have all the necessary birth certificates, baptismal and confirmation certificates (if Catholic), and when will you attend all the seminars/counseling workshops that may be required of you as a couple?
3. Entourage: Who will make up your entourage? Who will be your principal and secondary sponsors (if applicable)?
4. Guests: Who will be invited? How do you split the number of people to be invited between the bride and the groom? How many guests will you have all in all?
5. Invitations: Where will you source your invitations? What text will you have printed on them? What design and style would you want?
6. Pre-wedding Parties and Get-Togethers: When will you schedule bridal showers and other pre-wedding get-togethers? Will you have a dinner or party where the immediate families of the bride and groom can meet and mingle with the whole wedding entourage?
7. Church/Wedding Ceremony: Where will this be held? What arrangements need to be made? Who will officiate at your wedding? Will you have a missalette? Will you have a wedding rehearsal?
8. Outfits: What will be the style of your wedding gown? Who will design it? What color motif would you want? How will the outfits of the entourage look? Who will make them? Who will pay for them?
9. Flowers: Where will you source your flowers for the bride and her entourage, for the bridal car, the church, and for the tables during the reception? What kind of flowers will you use?
10. Music: Who will provide the music at the wedding ceremony and at the reception? What type of music will you use?
11. Wedding Rings: Who will make your wedding rings? What color or style do you want? What shall you have engraved on the rings?
12. Wedding Photos and Video: Who will take your photos? What are included in video and photo package? Will you have a separate photo session before the actual ceremony or at any other time? Will you already be flashing the photos at the reception?
13. Bridal Car: What kind of car would you like to use? Where can you rent or borrow?
14. Hair and Make-Up: Who will do your hair and make-up? Should the bride go for a trial session before the actual wedding?
15. Reception Party: Where will this be held? What arrangements need to be made? What food and/or entertainment will you provide? What will make up your program? Do you already have a guest book?
16. Wedding Cake: Who will bake your wedding cake? What kind of cake would you like?
17. Wedding Favors: What souvenirs or give-aways would you like for your guests?
18. Bridal Registry: Which bridal registry will you use? What items/gifts will you choose?
19. Honeymoon: Where will you have your honeymoon? Where will you stay on your first night as husband and wife? Where will you stay and live after?
20. Thank you Cards: Where will you order thank you cards?
